Responsibilities:

  • Actively provide human resources expertise in employee relations, coaching/development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development and training
  • Provide consultation and advice in disciplinary matters, recommend and attend employee/management discussions; recommend and document corrective action
  • Coordinate annual employee evaluation and salary planning
  • Ensure that all performance reviews are completed in an accurate, consistent and timely fashion for all employees.  Work with leaders to implement an effective corrective action plan that supports employee development arising from their evaluation process.
  • Ensure compliance with current federal & state (CA & WA specifically) labor laws and internal policies and procedures
  • Partner with leadership in their continued drive for developing and implementing HR initiatives across the organization that will support Ivy Softworks growth.  This includes but not limited to managing the administration of:
    • HRIS (BambooHR)
    • Benefits
    • New-Hire On-boarding
    • All current and former employee personnel records
  • Evaluate and recommend best practices in particular to the application of HR systems and policies
  • Define, plan and implement a comprehensive development program that is aligned with Ivy Softworks’ vision to attract and retain top talent across all levels and disciplines of the organization. Work with leadership to plan and maintain appropriate staffing in alignment with company strategy.
  • Develop ways to continuously integrate our core values into the company’s day-to-day environment.  This responsibility comes with a particular emphasis on shared interactions, with key staff members and leadership, to support the development of our unique culture through inclusion, experimentation and remaining adaptable to the evolving nature of our philosophies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in related field, coupled with Human Resource certification (SPHR or SHRM-CP)
  • Annual, ongoing education to remain current with state and national regulatory conformance is an expectation of this position
  • 5+ years of human resources experience; at least 2 years as an HR Manager or equivalent
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to implement and optimize process without slowing down the rapid pace of execution
  • Some travel required on an occasional basis to the Ivy Softworks office in San Francisco and other possible locations
  • Experience working in a start-up environment is strongly preferred
